Room upon room of gore, viscera and crazed maniacs keep chill seekers screeching and hollering from start to finish. Tableaux transcend the usual

Things to Do – The San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl

Qualcomm Stadium plays host to the Poinsettia Bowl in late December where a Mountain West Conference team will play an at-large opponent. The at-large opponent may be the Army Black Knights as bowl officials reached an accord guaranteeing the Black Knights an appearance at the bowl if they’re bowl game eligible.

This year will mark the second year of the Poinsettia Bowl. Kickoff is December 19,2006. Our San Diego RV Resort is located right on the Trolley line that serves Qualcomm Stadium. Make your plans to stay at our resort now to ensure convenient access to the big game!

Pennant Fever – Padres Baseball

The San Diego Padres are playing for their second consecutive postseason berth and the excitement is building. Petco Park is a great venue to watch a major league baseball game and with the Padres playing great baseball, every game counts and fan support is paramount.

The Padres are trying to win the National League West pennant for the second straight year and sit only a half game behind the front-running Los Angeles Dodgers. Currently, the Padres are leading the Wild Card chase with a 2.5 game lead over their closest pursuer. Of course, by the time you read this post, the Padres might already be in first place or have won the division.

Things to Do – Take Flight at Torrey Pines

For those of you looking for a little adventure, be sure to visit the Torrey Pines Glider Port located in La Jolla, CA. The port, which is perched above the Pacific Ocean, offers ample opportunities for thrillseekers to paraglide or hang glide along the cliffs adjacent to the Pacific. The ocean breezes provide the lift allowing the gliders to remain in the air for extended periods of time.

The Torrey Pines Glider Port is the largest paragliding training facility in the U.S. and is recognized for providing

first class service in flight education, flight training, quality equipment sales, and some of the most consistent soaring conditions in California. Torrey Pines Gliderport is recognized as a world class soaring site and has been in continuous use for flight operations, since 1928.

Things to Do – San Diego Gaslamp Quarter’s Fallback Festival

According to the San Diego Convention and Visitor’s Bureau,

The Fall Back festival brings the history and culture of the Gaslamp Quarter and Old San Diego alive for children and families. Features entertainment, demonstrations and food. Taking place Sunday, October 29, 2006 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., on Island Avenue between 4th & 5th Avenues, downtown San Diego.

Tickets are $5. Children under 2 are free.
