With military housing in the San Diego area greatly limited, a cost-effective alternative is to book an extended stay at one of our Southern California Resorts. All of our San Diego County Resorts are close to San Diego’s many military installations, offering convenient access without the exorbitant overhead. If you don’t have an RV, we also sell park model RVs for a fraction of the cost of a house or condo. Contact any of our resorts for additional information. We support our troops and welcome all branches of the military (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, and Navy) to our resorts.

Things to Do – Oktoberfest
October is just around the corner, and with it comes the change in season. To celebrate, the city of La Mesa, just to the East of San Diego, (one trolley stop away from our San Diego RV Resort) is hosting its annual Oktoberfest celebration from Friday, October 6th through Sunday, October 8th, 2006.
According to the East County Chamber of Commerce,
If eating hot-off-the-grill German-style bratwurst, browsing among hundreds of arts and crafts booths, and oscillating on a dance floor in front of a live oom-pah-pah band sounds like a good time, then we’ve got a festival for you!
Patterned after the world-famous Munich Oktoberfest, La Mesa’s version is essentially a giant block party in the downtown village area. The streets are closed off to vehicles, and in their place, more than 400 booths are set up, selling an assortment of high-quality arts and crafts, commercial items and food. Admission to the general festival is free.
This annual event is a blast. You can’t go wrong with good food and good beer. The music isn’t too bad either. Be sure to make your reservation now to stay at any of our Southern California Resorts.
